Web Hosting Terms of Service

1. Service Description

OpenDucks IT provides managed web hosting for static and dynamic websites, including domain and DNS coordination, SSL certificates, backups, and migration support. Service plans may include shared or dedicated resources, custom quotas, and optional monitoring.

2. Supported Use and Content

• Sites must comply with applicable law and our Acceptable Use Policy.
• No hosting of malware, phishing, illegal content, or copyright-infringing material.
• Sites must not be used for abusive traffic, spam, or DDoS attacks.

3. Customer Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the content, code, and data hosted on your site.
• Keep CMS, plugins, and scripts up to date and secure.
• Promptly remove or patch vulnerable components.

4. Backups and Data Recovery

We perform regular backups according to your service plan. You are responsible for maintaining local copies of critical data and testing restore procedures. Data recovery requests may be subject to additional fees.

5. Availability and Maintenance

Target availability is 99.5% monthly, excluding scheduled maintenance and force majeure. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

6. Security

• Use strong passwords for all admin accounts.
• Keep software and plugins updated.
• Report security incidents promptly.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Upon service termination, you have 30 days to export your site data. After this period, data may be permanently deleted unless legal obligations require retention.

8. Liability

Our liability is limited as described in the General Terms of Service. We are not liable for:

• Data loss due to user error or insecure code
• Downtime caused by third-party providers or force majeure
• Content hosted by users

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
